How to Reset a Lesson for a Student in Portal

• Select Proctor Tools from upper navigation bar and Click Search to bring up Class Roster.

• Across from Authorize Which Assignment please select the lab portion that you would like the student/s to access again.
  • Please keep in mind that the Lesson portion will be the Exploration and Experimentation portions of the lab and the Assignment will be the Evaluation/test portion of the lab.

• Once you have select the lab portion look to the Permission to be Given section. From here please select whether you would like the student to Start/Re-Enter, Grade, or Re-Open if Already Graded.

   

• Start/Re-Enter will wipe out student’s previous work and give them a fresh start/attempt on the lab portion, Grade will push their work (regardless of completion or not) to the Gradebook, and Re-Open if Already Graded will preserve previous work but allow them to build off of that. You can also assign a new end date in this area for one or multiple students.

• From here select the specific student that you would like to give access to by checking the box to the left of the student’s name or for the entire class check the box at the top of the column.

• Click Authorize and the screen will update to reflect your changes, an update to the Holds Permission column will be visible showing what the student has permission to do with the specific lab portion.
