When cloning a course in the Lab Portal, the system will automatically generate a name for the course. This is a standard naming convention within the system with three sections, separated by colons (:). The three sections are:
- The course name imported from the LMS. This will match the name of the course on the LMS side.
- The course you copied from.
- The course ID. This is generated by the LMS.
We recommend updating the title of your course for simplicity and ease of identifying the correct classes when working in the portal. The steps below will walk you through updating the course name.
1. From the class homepage, select "Class Info."
2. Under Class Details, select "Edit."
3. Update the Class Name to the desired name for the course.
Warning: Do not edit the course ID. This may disrupt your connection to the purchasing platform.
4. Select the blue "Submit" button to save the updated course name.
